The major problems of the TV are the remote controller is quite funny, no 2 much useful buttons and it DOESN'T WORK away 3 feet ( or 150' ) <br /> <br /> <br />comparing with Sony, Samsung is quite poor. However, I paid the money for Samsung only, not Sony. :) I should add $200 to buy sony 40' v series. I have been using the TV over a month, the picture is OK. Just 6 weeks after the warranty had expired and all of a sudden, my LCD started showing a RED VERTICAL line accross the screen. After contacting the customer service and inspecting my problem they told me that the PANEL needs to be changed which would cost me nearly the price of a brand new LCD. I don't understand how poor in quality these LCD's are when they suddenly break on their own. What makes it even worse is that the local dealer wouldn't bother compensating on what seems to be a manufacturing defect. So, poor quality + lame customer service, I would advice customers to look for LCD's somewhere far far away from Samsung. Samsung claims I'm a few days outside my warranty and won't back up the product. I've called to have it repaired and it will cost $130 just to have somebody look at it. I'm thinking about smashing it into tiny bits an posting the video on YouTube. Overall, I'm very disappointed in samsung and regret the purchase. If you must have this television, buy the extended warranty. As for me, I'm getting my next lcd at Wal-Mart - perhaps a sanyo.
